QB2Excel does not require that you have ActiveData installed on your machine.
QB2Excel requires that you have Excel 2007 or better and QuickBooks 2008 or better installed on your machine.QB2Excel is a stand-alone application and is run from your Windows Start Menu .

How To Import Qbb File Into Excel
If you're having trouble creating access database files then make sure you have installed the Microsoft Access Database Engine.This installs a set of components that non-Microsoft applications like QB2Excel use communicate with an Access database.
